Lethal Exposure

Long ago, a dramatic event struck the planet, releasing a huge wave of toxic gases that sickened and eventually killed most of the human beings. After the catastrophe, the remaining population searched for a cure to heal the sick ones, while trying to rebuild.

However, hundreds of years later, a second unpredictable wave struck again.

Fortunately, you weren't outside at the time, so you didn't suffer from the sudden wave of gas. As the air became too toxic, you ended up seeking refuge in a cave in the countryside

You managed to survive, but the air on the surface remained toxic. Your friend, who had gone off to find food while you were recovering from an injury, fell ill.

Alone and lost in this ruined world, you decide to set off in search of the remedy that scientists have developed after years of research, but which has not yet been made available to the population.

One time, your friend found a radio on one of her watch. A few days after her first symptoms, you've heard a sound on it. It was an SOS from another surviving team ! That other team had the cure but they were attacked by some monsters. Filled by hope, you are now trying to come to their rescue. If you succeed, you could save them and bring back the cure to your friends, who can't leave the cave for fear of the disease worsening too much, leading to her death.
